as it turns out, finding a job isn't really that hard if you actually WANT to work. I just got offered a trial in a bar next Friday and Saturday night which will lead to a casual position if I'm any good. I should note that I have NO bar tending experience but pulled a decent beer once I was shown how, so I'm optimistic.
