i actually managed to get something done today for a change!
for the last few months i have been working on some writing projects, and have made some good progress in them. however; i've been so busy with work and life that i haven't even looked at them for the last 2-3 weeks. most of my days off have been filled with me trying to catch up on sleep. so i've been kind of pissed at myself lately for letting my projects slide, but today i had time set aside and forced myself to get back to them.
i wrote another chapter in the book i'm writing, which is a lot for me in one day. i come up with the ideas quickly but it takes awhile to work them into a story format. my book has kind of a strange and long story so i wont explain it here, but you can think of it as a good vampire book except replace the vampires with demons. the kind of stuff that is perfect for the halloween season, with that being said my other projects might sound a little out of place. im also working on some books for children. these can be fun to work on, because the stories are easy to make up and deal with lighter subjects. also im illustrating them myself which doesnt come as easily to me, but im working on my drawing skills so hopefully the finished product will turn out well.
mostly these projects are for myself, but maybe if theyre good enough ill look for a publisher. i would love to be able to leave the crappy world of retail slavery behind, and make a living off of writing books. (or a least something that uses the creative part of my brain) i dont know if i actually have what it takes to be a writer but im going to give it a shot.
i think that this is my longest entry in this journal, so ill stop rambling on about myself now.
anyone have any good music recommendations? i dont care what the style is; im just look for something that is done well.
or maybe movie or book recommendations?
