my cell phone stopped making noise.
I would get messages, people would call.... it would not make a sound. I used to be able to play music with it. nothing.
then I got mad at my phone and turned it off and put it in the freezer.
I was mad because it seemed like people were ignoring me, and I decided that really I was being a bad sport. I put it in the freezer because I figured that if it were frozen, I wouldn't be able to use it.
it made sense at the time.
when I took the phone out and it thawed the next day, it started making noise again! huzzah!
but then after a few hours it stopped again.
so I've been turning my phone off and putting it in the freezer every few days.
now people aren't getting messages that I'm sending. it's also possible I am not receiving messages people have sent to me. I had this problem with a previous phone, and while working with tech support, a dude said something like, "are you sure people just aren't calling you?" so now I'm all paranoid. but no. my mom would not lie about not getting a message from me.
I only care a little bit that I'm not getting messages. I'm actually feeling pretty antisocial, and I do still have pretty hurt feelings that I'm not hearing from people. because, you know, the phone only works one way.
pity party!
I do care that I may have broken my phone. I can't decide if it was already broken before I put it in the freezer or if I broke it by putting it in the freezer.
it still only makes noise for a few hours after coming out of the freezer, by the way.

Speaking of pity party, I know why I don't get messages or calls on my phone: no one does call me. Even the telemarketers have given up hope.
