1. one of my cousins' kids woke up blue on sunday. ambulance, er, admission... his heart is fine, but they don't know what's wrong.
2. I am knitting socks. yellow socks. this makes me happy.
3. I got my 99th where's george hit yesterday.
4. it's cold and snowy, which makes me grateful for my blankets. it's also very sparkly. it seems that the colder it is, the more sparkly the snow is.
5. I hooked up my new(ish) scanner
6. more on my nerdery: I looked up a childhood penpal. it appears she is as amazing as ever and works for the ministry of foreign affairs in ljubljana. I sent her an e-mail. what the heck, right? within a matter of hours, she wrote back.
7. more than half of today will be overtime. I still dream about work a lot. near the end of the month I'm running away for a bit.
