Thanks to all who have made me feel welcome here on SG. Encountering many interesting people on the Site. Here is the poster for the CT River Brew Fest 2003 by special request.

Bought a few tickets for the SG Prom today I am excited about making the cross country trek and the ensuing Festivities.

Ill be spending a week or so in SF so if anyone has any suggestions???

Howdy. I was in the Marine Corps. Got out last April. I was 5811 oink Military Police. I was stationed on Okinawa, MCAS Yuma, and then Camp Pendleton. Go me!

I definitely agree that getting to know someone can involve tuning in to them in a perfectly non-weird way, like you say. Thinking about it right now I also think there's something quite profound about this. If consciousness is in part based in language and shared symbolic systems, rather than something entirely isolated and private, then conscisous is in part always shared. Oooooo. I like that. smile

I'm also really drawn to the idea of evolving consciousness. Dangerous territory though. Isn't there a Hermann Hess novel (Damien perhaps?) where those with "the mark of Cain" spot each other? I don't know about evolved human beings but I suspect that those of us who have become outsiders can spot each other quite well! wink
