2009: Iran launches nuclear strike on Israel. Israel retaliates, obliterating Iran, Lebanon, and Syria. Most of southern Europe irradiated. Petroleum prices skyrocket, pushing many nations worldwide below the poverty line.
2012: President of the United States assasinated. Egyptian nationals blamed. Later the same year, an extremely volatile strain of weaponized ebola zaire is released in the New York subway system. Tens of thousands die. Al Queda and Hezbollah both claim responsibility. New York City permanently quarantined.
2013: U.S. president pro tem declares war on all of Islam, declaring the faith a "Clear and present danger to the security of the United States." Public executions broadcast over CNN as a coalition of nations begin the ethnic cleansing of the arab world.
2017: first unmanned probe launches for Europa. First Temporary colony established on Mars. Vertebrate fossils found on Mars.
2023: Gap between the rich and poor in the US widens. Civil war looms. Europa lander finds a thriving chemosynthesis based ecosystem beneath the ice. Ocean floor found to be rich in fossil fuel.
2052: First oil war begins between the United States and China. Millions killed and wounded.
2053: United States economy collapses. Factions within the U.S. storm the UN building, killing all inside. UN subsequently disbands. Japanese scientists make huge strides in the field of artificial intelligence. First true artificial beings created.
2056: Civil war within the United States . Chinese backed militia groups attempt to take the white house. Uprising quickly put down by the militay. US/Sino War grinds to a stalemate. Bejing treaty of 2056 is signed. Cooperation between China and US in rebuilding is agreed upon.
2069: First drilling platform built in Europa's ocean by Terracorp. Much of world infrastructure is rebuilt, thanks in large part to the new class of artificial laborers now used worldwide. Effects of global warming are beginning to be felt.Onset of the so called "New Golden Age of Humanity"
2084: First android labor union met with violence and hate by humans who consider them no more than machines. Artificials begin to riot, demanding equal rights. Terraforming of mars begins.
2085: War between Homo Sapiens and Machines begins.
2116: The machine race is finally eradicated by a five year orbital bombing campaign. Much of earth lies in ruins. All thinking machines outlawed. The planet is plunged into an era of anarchy and extreme violence.
2172: Corporations pick up the pieces of our shattered species. Earth becomes a slum, the wealthy living on a newly terraformed, green Mars. The Age of Corprocracy dawns for mankind.
