First off,

Holiday Season,

I am addressing you personally.

Fuck You.

With that out of the way I feel I may never work the holidays again. It is bad enough being stuck at work Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day. I try to just plow on through it; pretend it is just another day. No, I have every other person telling me, "Man you have to work today? That sucks." Thank you for reminding me how much I hate my job, I had almost gone five minutes without wondering what the fuck I am doing here.

Second,

Christmas is officially no longer a religious holiday.

Christmas trees have nothing to do with Jesus. Neither does exchanging gifts, Santa, mistletoe or candy canes. Mistletoe is actually a parasitic plant that can be poisonous in large quantities. Just like Christians. Christmas needs a new name. Preferably something without the word Christ in it. I have been trying for weeks to think of something but keep drawing a blank.

Third,

What the hell happened Pitchfork?

Pitchforkmedia.com's year end 50 top album list was incredibly inaccurate and disappointing. Therefore I am going to re-do the list the way I wanted to see it. 25 is long enough.

1. Vitalic - OK Cowboy
I have listened to this album more than anything else this year. Masterful and Raucous techno. I can easily listen to this album two or even three times in a row.

2. Wolf Parade - Apologies to the Queen Mary
Another amazing band to come out of Montreal. Fantastic debut album

3. Caribou - The Milk of Human Kindness
Stunning electronic album.

4. Via Satellite - Cities Are Temples
I saw these guys and immediately bought their cd. Amazing stuff. (This was one of maybe two or three real cd I have purchased in the last two or three years. It was stolen out of my car along with roughly 300 burned cds my car stereo and my poker case. It is a real hard cd to find, I can't even find it for download, anywhere.)

5. Bloc Party - Silent Alarm
Rockin, catchy, dancy, debut

6. M.I.A. - Arular
I tried not to like her, I really did. So much hype and hoopla about her music and background. But, after seeing her live and listening to the album it was just unstopable.

7. Tom vex - We Have sound
oddly compelling dance-rock. Very impressive considering it is a full band all composed of one man.

8. The Juan Maclean - Less Than Human
"DFA's secret weapon"

9. Beck - Guero
sorry pitchfork, you were completely wrong about this album.

10. Boards of Canada - The Campfire Head phase
Not what I was expecting. Still excellent

11. Tristeza - A Colores
12. Pelican - The Fire in Our Throats Will Beckon the Thaw
13. Subtle - A New White
14. Daft Punk - Human After All
15. Buck 65 - Secret House Against the World
16. Alias and Ehren - lillian
17. Soulwax - Nite Versions
18. Broken Social Scene - Broken Social Scene
19. Daedelus - exquisite corpse
20. M83 - Before the Dawn Heals Us
21. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah - Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
22. Franz Ferdinand - You Could Have It So Much Better
23. Boom Bip - Blue Eyed In The Red Room
24. Architecture in Helsinki - In Case We Die
25. Sigur Ros - Takk

2005, other than Coachella, you were pretty weak.

R.I.P. Richard Pryor

R.I.P. Hunter S. Thompson
