I was bullied a lot in grade school, then at the beginning of high school I was a little bit of a bully for the first year and once I noticed I was doing it (while trying to be cool) I stopped, but i did learn a lot from it. Then the next three years i wouldn't pay attention to people who tried to bully me, but if they did it to my friends i would make them feel way worse about themselves for it. Then in college i decided that may not be the right thing to do and instead since then i have worked on being able to refute anything anyone says based on their parameters of logic or my own. I can make them second guess anything they say (especially if it is mean or rude) to anyone. Now i don't run into a situation i can't handle is a way where i don't attack others for their insecurities (which i can spot a mile away). I use that skill to make people feel good as often as possible and try to teach the logic competency skill to people who want to learn, like my nephews.

Seems we best both keep our feet safe and dry and away from the mysterious monsters of the sea. It would be lovely to experience the sights and sounds, to feel that same peace you feel, perhaps one day.
