So my best friend and I are having a bit of a fight right now. and its been funky between us ever since it started. I admit I am in the wrong here, in this specific situation, but in my opinion, she needs to let it go and stop treating me like a child. So here's how it all started....
We went out last Saturday with a bunch of girls she kn for Kind of a "welcome to IL" night or something I guess. Well, Thats where I met Sean, my now. boyfriend. (he looks so much like Wolverine, its scary!) anyways, I didnt go home with him that night obviously, because well, I'm not that kind of girl and I didn't know him from Adam. but I did give him my phone number. and as soon as i left he was asking to take me out on a proper date the next day. I agreed. I'm not going to lie, I liked him, Kayla didnt. not really sure why, but he just put a funny taste in her mouth from the moment she met him. maybe it was because she knew that he would distract me from my time with her, after she spent so much time begging and convincing me to move here with her, maybe she just doesnt like him as a person, which I dont see how. He's one of the sweetest, most sincere men I've ever met. maybe she just didnt like his hair. I'm not sure.
So, I went on this date with him. spent the whole day walking aro9und downtown and having him show me the sights. he bought me lunch, coffee, ice cream, anything I wanted. and it was in every sense of the words, a perfect date. So the next night he takes me to dinner and while I am out, She texts me and TELLS me that I am not allowed to bring him home with me. in a place I pay rent. a place where I live too. as a motherfucking ADULT. now I would understand if she had never met him before and didnt want him there while she was sleeping, that, I would understand. but no, she just didnt like him, and I'm sorry, but youre not my fucking mother and youre not going to tell me who I can and cannot bring into the place I LIVE. so i did it anyways. and of course she found out because, well, she saw him in the morning. then she went on for about 3 hours screaming at me about boundaries and how now she cant trust me and all that nonsense. to which I replied, "well, then I guess I'll just get my things packed up and leave." and she instantly backpedaled. "no no no no, I'm not going to kick you out like that." as if. So its been about two days since we've spoken. theres a negative vibe in the air between us and I dont know how much longer its going to take to blow over. I dont know if I can live like this. Someone give me some input here?
