Today was weird. Old people kept telling me I was pretty. O_o
No, seriously. First an old guy said I was pretty ("too pretty to rip someone's head off" was the exact quote; I guess you had to be there), and then a little old lady of the cookie-baking, sweater-knitting variety told me I looked "wonderful" with my makeup and everything done so well.
This was nice to hear and all, but it always makes me wonder why I'm so gosh darned attractive to the 50+ set. I mean, yay compliments, but why don't people near my OWN age ever say such things?
This, of course, is a picture taken AFTER work, with half the makeup worn off and the soul-dead weariness of holiday retail staring flatly from behind my eyes.
Oh, how I wish I had a cute little button-nose. But I don't wish it hard enough to, you know, pay to change it. That would be like admitting defeat, in my book.
