Well, I just found out that my favorite teacher in high school just died last week. Man, talk about a downer. She was my photograhy teacher, the one who influenced me to follow that artistic path. She was always there to help and give her advice and she always believed in me as an artist and a person. She left behind a young son. I know that if anybody even reads this they won't care, but I feel I needed to do it, in rememberance of her.
A click and a flash,
Click and a flash,
An image caught in black and white and gray.
That image,
That single image,
Is someone's life.
Through the lense we seem so distant,
Watching our subject's every move,
Waiting for that one perfect moment
To snap the shutter release.
But if we wait too long,
That moment passes,
And we are left regreting
What we could have captured
And immortalized forever.
But more shots will come,
And more opportunities at aristic expression,
But there will always be that one shot,
The one we always remember...
