Well, I am in NYC. My bus got in a little after 5:00 this evening and now I am hanging out at the elustrious FIT. Exciting, I know. So right now Janine and I are hanging out waiting for dinner to arrive. There's nothing like New York pizza. Tonight we are going to the IMAX to see V For Vendetta. We've already seen it but there are a bunch of people going with us that haven't and lets face it... it's IMAX. It is going to be sick. Besides, it's one of those movies that you have to see a few times to make sure you saw everything and took it all in.
Tomorrow I have to call Matt Albiani, the photographer Carson hooked me up with. I am hoping something will come out of it. When I talked to him today, it sounded like he's ready to offer me a job as his assistant. But, let's take it one step at a time. I told him I am looking for an internship and that I have to be able to commute from PA. That might have thrown a wrench in the spokes but I can't say for sure until I talk with him tomorrow. Oh well. I am still so excited...
After meeting with Matt, I am hoping to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art with Janine and then who knows. We're also planning on hitting the Museum of Sex at some point. Talk about fun, it's so me right? And all the while, I am planning on shooting while I am here. I brought 3 rolls of black and white 35mm film to get back to my analogue roots. Digital is fun, but I really need to get back to my roots and fine tune my skills. When I get back to school, I have to develop and print the film. Talk about fun!!!
