thanks for the kind words everyone. i'll be ok. i just needed to vent and get it off my chest more than anything. anyway i'm doing much better now. the swelling has almost gone down and bruising has started to give way from the purplish color a more greenish/yellow tone (trust me that's a good thing). i going to get the staples removed either tomorrow or thursday (don't worry Nefaria i didn't forget). other than that things seem back to normal. went to work over the weekend. went to a club in hollywood last night. even went to the gym today. 
on another note: my cat makes me laugh. she's such a little brat and i love it. don't know if it was cosmic coincidence or divine intervention but i couldn't have asked for a better cat
