Hey! I'd like to share som pics of this piece I made for a local art show here in San Antonio Texas.
The theme of the event was to customize a skate deck!. How fun!.. Right? There was no rules as far as to how or what to make, given the artist the freedom to create anything they wanted too.
The inspiration for my piece was the dark star skateboard logo. I have to say this project was a little stressful (considering I only had two weeks to make this) and I'm not very good when it comes to deadlines, working under pressure or rushing a project, but the end result is pretty satisfying, especially when you know you put your heart into the piece!
What you are seeing in the pics is nothing but clay, I didn't have enough money to make the mold and casting (is an expensive process) but the event organizers were ok with it.
Anyways! It was a fun project, thanks for reading and hopefully I have enough money later down the line to mold and cast it 😁
