I know that my soon to be ex-inlaws have a similar, but smaller koi pond and waterfall in their yard and they have a couple of floating heaters during the winter. I am currently in Indiana, so they would have to work out there in UT!

I suspect that every environment, be it work, social settings, web sites with naked females or high school, has its own politics. We must be wired that way. The older one gets the sillier the whole thing seems. As for the ultimate accelerator, Leonard Susskind suggested that in order to accelerate a particle to the Planck mass the accelerator would have to be at least as big as our galaxy! Try getting funding for THAT.
