So, i am trying to upload some pics for ya'll. Dont have alot because it sucks trying to take pics of myself! Besides the fact i have a crap camera!
Had the day off today. Went out to Fort Rosecrans cemetary today. There is the most beautiful view of the ocean from there. I put flowers on the grave of a soldier that was killed in the first few months of the Iraq war. I have been doing this for over a year. It was my way of saying thank you to them for what they gave. And to say goodbye to someone i lost a long time ago, that has no place to leave flowers for. It was humbling to be sitting beside that headstone, looking out over the ocean and knowing he served a much higher purpose than i will ever be able to match. And my heart hurts knowing that there doesn't seem to be an end to the death, and there will be more graves.
Sorry to be so serious and somber but tomorrow is a new day kids!

to him it makes it worth the life he gave up. There's no greater meaning to his life then what you did on this day for him .

my dad's buried out there . It;s really 0ne of the most peaceful places in sd - very thought provoking too, as you've reminded me. I've got to visit that place again. i've been too busy
