My neighbor, who is a second dad to me and is addicted to the psychotropic meds that keep him functional, has a nephew who came to live with him a number of times.
Every time Mike (that's his nephew) got kicked out of his house by his parents, he came down to PA from Staten Island to live in the house next door, so that we got to be lke brothers. Well, he came down this last time after being released from prison for possession of heroine, with intent to sell.

Well, after seeing him around alot, talking with him about just how, exactly, he shoots up and how to spot a likely source in public... then watching him give up his chances to straighten out, then crying the day he was kicked out of my neighbor's house (after two weeks of fucking up everything in his life, and in his uncle and aunt's lives)... and knowing now that he's back in Staten Island, using again, dealing again... well, seeing people using makes me want to cry all over again.

That's some pretty fucked up shit.
