welp, guess it's time to update again...
Holy shit! I played my first show last night with my band- so far our name is Lower Your Standards. We play political hardcore punk with an oldschool twist. It was so awesome. I had a blast, after I got over being too nervous to even think.
We have a female singer and I play lead guitar, then we have foreigners on bass and drums. The foreigners are from the Dominican Rep. They have their own band down there called La Armada Roja. They are really good!
It's kinda fucked up because on the flyer they put our band name in really small letters with "local's first show" under it. (in other words local bands in my town usually suck and their first show is supposed to be even worse.) But after we rocked the house the only thing people could say was- "Wow that was better than I expected" or "That wasn't what I expected" I guess that's good news, but I kinda take it as an insult. Mostly because we have two females in our band and I think that's why a lot of people thought we would suck. But ya know what I CAN Play fucking guitar even if I'm female and have a gimpy wrist. So fuck them! haha.
I really love playing music. I was just so happy because the kid's were actually dancing to our music and moshin it up! It's such a huge high. I LOVE IT!!!

Haha, I was pretty excited because my mom actually came to the show and taped it for us! I love my mom she is so supportive! So when I'm able to get the whole camcorder figured out I can post a song maybe... SHIT I can't wait till the next show! Until next time- Cheers
