Here's something I posted on FB a little while ago... I like it:

You wanna know something that's wierd? Well, too bad here I go. I've never been part of a mixed-race relationship nor am I the product of one, but I have to say that there are very few things in this life that make me more happy (not pleased or simply smiley, but damn near giddy, like caught-in-my-throat excitement) than seeing a mixed-race couple or seeing children of mixed-race parentage. I don't know what it is... I think it's just seeing a tiny glitter of hope in humanity's future in a vast ocean of seeming hopelessness. Like a man dying in the desert, crusty lips and sunken eyes, seeing the sun glinting off something possibly glass or metal in the distance. The chance that it is actually an illusion is good, but the possibility that it may not be is enough to get excited about. I can't wait until humanity is a single color. I just wish I could live to see that time. You never know, huh? I may just.
