Ahhhh so much going on in my mind right now. A train of thought speeding faster than anything than motley crue had in coursing through their vines, gagger lines and all.

Last update was sometime towards the beginning of the summer months. Feels a lot longer when I think about it. It mainly consisted of hours and hours of physical therapy. Sleeping on a regular sleeping schedule. Rebuilding bridges and igniting old flames...of sorts. Cleansed my soul or at least my thoughts of bad juju. Separated myself from people who enjoyed misery and negativity.

Fortune has shone herself all over my face and I have licked up all of it. And by that, I meant that life has progressively improved in all aspects not just physically. Waking up from a hazy dream or a binger that lasted years. Knowing that I'm in a better place overall has helped maintain the current course at present speed. Looking back at two years ago from today, where I was. I didn't know then how bad it would get. I have the other end of the spectrum to climb now and it's going to be great.

Hesitation Marks, the new NIN album has finally been released, although leaked and streamed for over a week now. At the first news about a new album and tour, I couldn't believe what I had read. I honestly thought it would have been at least a decade before Trent would have assembled NIN once more. Nevertheless, concert tickets have been purchased for months and the album is soon to be second nature.

I was extremely fortunate to see them close the Made In America Festival this past Sunday. Reminiscent of their beside you in time tour, queens of the stone age went on before NIN. I had to give the festival it's stage production props. The screens on the sides of the stage made it a great watch where ever you were and amazing crispy phone pics. Josh came out and immediately told security to fuck off and let everyone fucking party. And so everyone did. A set that spanned from Rated R to Era Vulgaris. Encouraging everyone in the crowd to get it on during Make it with Chu. And closing the set with a version of "a Song for the dead" that was bittersweet and backed but great visuals.

The show would have been worth the money for just Queens alone but no no. Nine inch Nails was next. Despite seeing them countless times, this was my first time seeing them in a festival so I was curious. Trent did not disappoint on any level. The perfect symphony of new material, somewhat current and classics from pretty hate machine and downward spiral. The energy and sweat was there. I was disappointed to find my phone dead due to my footage capture of the queens set. It was an experience that left me with whiplash and sore in places that I haven't been in years. I won't be in the mosh pit come October but at least I had my experience already.

The new album is growing on me by the second. At just a little over an hour, its enjoyable enough to make it stay around longer. The naysayers will say that they have to and its their opinion. It was my friends first time seeing them and I was glad he had the chance to see a sweet setlist. I can only hope it drives him further down the spiral. I needed to get one in.

I will soon be able to enjoy concerts again and so far all I have lined up is Nin in October. Maybe Fiona Apple also in October. I will get there. And hopefully Rexx can accompany me.

Speaking of which, her latest set " fault and fracture" went live a couple days ago. Give a gander and show some love. She is easy on the eyes.

Fall is finally on its way and I can't be more excited for it. Really looking forward to NYC in late October/ early November. I haven't slept for more than five hours in a 24 hour period for over two weeks. I need to change that like now.
