Ok, so I survived the weekend.

Let's see...Friday night went very well, minus the enormous amounts of rain that were dumped on Texas. The SGTexas pre-burlesque show meet-up was a success. Henry Rollins spoken word was incredible, and I really mean it. I don't think I've ever listened to one person talk for 3 hours and not gotten bored before that night. Apparently the SG Burlesque show in Denton was a bit off due to the weather and size of the venue, but I wouldn't know since I didn't go. Thank you soooo much lipservicejen for hosting the afterparty at your house Friday night. I had a great time, and I think most everyone else did too. It was great meeting everyone and being able to hang out with everyone for a while!! muse and infidel make an awesome couple...thanks for travelling this far to meet all the DFW folks.
Saturday was a great day too, well, minus the mid-day hangover, but that passed by the time I got to Austin. The SG Burlesque show in Austin was INCREDIBLE. Seriously. I got to meet lots of SG members, which was incredible in and of itself. But, for the burlesque show, I was up-front and center, so my view was fantastic. I was covered in chocolate syrup by the end of the show. Apparently it tasted yummy because by the end of the night, I had it all licked off of me by gracious volunteers. Still had to shower when I got home at 4am though.
Again, thanks to all the SGers that hung out this weekend. I enjoyed everyone's company!!
