So i am sitting here, in my boyfriends apartment right now, which he was supposed to be checked out of about a good 2 weeks ago , but he had spare keys, and uconn is a halfway point for us. anyhow, he gets up, goes to run errands (I chose to sleep for an extra hour or so), and i wake up and there are...

(Sorry just read your entry).

I would

E. Put on something revealing, try to seduce them away from their spacle and convince them that no fine was neccessary, and if all else failed, distract them long enough to make enough toast to eat and, if needed, use as projectile weaponry until you could run out of the appartment and warn the boyfriend.

But that's just me...

Soooo, I spent a large chunk of this weekend in Rhode Island. I really do like it up there, something very down-to-earth about it. And the accents never fail to amuse me. Especially when I am a little tipsy, they keep me giggling to myself. Beirut in the kitchen. Isn't it funny how highschool-age guys always seem to take off their shirts as they get...

I've come to the conclusion that my lack of direction is not just bad, it's frighteningly atrocious. Went to show my mother where i work today, and managed to get lost on backroads... on the way to my JOB. trail blazing new paths is certainly not my forte, as proven by the hour ride (should have been 40 min) today. She just looked at me,...

Mmmhh, losing your credit card isn't such a great way to start saving money. So is it your turn for the most humbling moment? smile I got a couple of additional amusing things about my story, mostly involving my accent and being misunderstood. Like those 10 guys thinking I was insulting them while answering a question--I was saying BJ's and they thought I was like "bitches".

So, today is a day I've just felt anxious all day long. Maybe not even neccessarily anxious, but a day when kickboxing or running would give me some peace of mind..
I'm working on booking these flights to denmark, or at least getting estimates for the moment.. it ain't fucking cheap. I guess I assumed i could find something in the 700's, and that's not...

just for old times sake, i was looking through my old ginsberg stuff and came across this poem. one of the first poems that really ever grabbed me and shook me. For your reading pleasure.....

America I've given you all and now I'm nothing.
America two dollars and twenty-seven cents January 17, 1956.
I can't stand my own mind.
America when will we end the...

Yep also works pretty well in 2004. I don't know if you also like the "dirty old man" but there was documentary about him that was released a couple of months ago and that was worth the trip. That was about the man, rather than about his writings, but it was so much fun.

So, the weekend twas nice, once again. Friday was tequila night, and Saturday was NYC. We went to this new restaurant (well, new to us), Spotted Pig. It ended up being so-so. Quasi-expensive bill, with mediocre food. Not even neccessarily mediocre, it was probably pretty good for those who have an exquisitely fancy palette. Sheeps milk gnocchi has a funny consistency.... nice atmosphere though.
Then,...
