Well, my birthday is in an hour and a half. It's certainly been an eventful year. This time last year, I was devastated by the recent breakup of my 7+ year relationship with a girl I thought was going to be my wife. Top that off with me turning 30, and you've got the recipe for an attempted suicide brewing there, lol.

Obviously, I'm not that weak willed, and here I sit today, typing up this blog. I think this last year has been a good one for me. I've made more new friends this past year than I had in the past 5. Some were great (hello Abyssia and redfirefaery!!), some not so great, some downright bad. I got to see the SG burlesque and meet Nixon, Odette, and Reagan!! I got to see Niagra Falls!! I went to Mardi Gras for the second time, my good friend Tom survived his tour in Iraq, and my heart survived another year.

More recently, I've been blessed with the opportunity to develop a relationship with a wonderful girl named Tori. I this girl. The future is always uncertain, but I move forward with steadfastness and faith that I have the necessary abilities to succeed.

This year has been one of change, much change, and I think that through it all I've maintained my unique sense of self, while growing a little more as a man. That makes for a good year. Thanks to everybody who has touched my life this year, and I look forward to the excitement of the coming year.
