I have realized over the years that I have been hurt by people. People that I loved; that I trusted. People I thought were my friends.

I have also realized that I too have hurt the people I love. I can't take back the pain I caused. I can apologize and try to help heal their wounds. Sometimes that means just staying away.

There is a lot of truth to Karma. What goes around comes around. It is so important that we try to be kind to the people around us. We don't know what someone is going through. We don't know their struggles and challenges. We don't always know their pain. One kind word can make all the difference in the world to someone else. One kind word may save someone's life. One harsh word can also destroy someone.

It is our choice as to how and what we are going be in this life. We also have to realize that none of us have a guarantee that we will be here tomorrow. All we have is today.
