Ever have something occur to you in a dream, and then the ideas haunt you for weeks, months, even years afterward? Well this happened to me. I had a dream that I was getting tattooed. Why is that weird? You may be thinking.... The kicker was, I had no idea what was getting tattooed on me, nor was I allowed to see what it was until it was already done! I didn't stay asleep long enough to find out what it was.

Well, this idea that occurred to me in a dream, just wouldn't get out of my head. It then became a secret aspiration of mine.... to go talk to an artist who I could 100% trust, and then just let him/her do what they do best - create an original piece of art and permanently inject it under my skin. Two weeks ago I found that artist, and the opportunity presented itself..... So I went for it!

Jared (the artist) came up with a design he hoped I would like. I arrived at the shop, and when putting the stencil on the side of my left calf (I even let him pick where it was going!), I had to hide my eyes and avoid all mirrors. I was so excited!!

This is the finished product of my surprise tattoo. I honestly couldn't be happier with the result. And what's even weird-er is that this was a tattoo that was already on my list of what I want! A dagger stabbing through your skin? How badass is that!

What do you guys think? Would you ever get a surprise tattoo????
