I suprise myself when it comes to fitness, and where I have yet to exceed in becoming truly "in shape". Hiking up 6 flights of stairs shouldn't put a dent in me, but for some reason I flew up the stairs and just about died on reentry into my office...maybe it's just the extreme humidity...or maybe it's the fact that the power's out and the a/c has yet to kick on. Fuckers.
Is it just me or is the underappreciation of zombie movies quite evident in our culture? How can one's fascination with blood, brains, gore and camp be another man's leaky garbage bag? Shaun of the Dead is still running through my mind since I saw it again this past weekend. Sheer brilliance. If Edgar Wright were to release a 4-hour Director's Cut, I would be quite content. Perhaps I'll finally get to work on my zombie flick. I wonder what Bruce Campbell's going rate for a cameo is going for these days. Last I checked he was renting out his person at a crisp $3000 a show. Film budget..... acquired materials and gas in car. Hmmm.... a little short.
