Today I looked deep into this mirror, the one I've searched and called out to before.
My soul is in there, Im sure that I know it, my soul is missing, I wonder where should I go.
Man that sucked.
Im so lyrically blocked lately, but thats ok I guess because i can no longer sing. Im trying to reteach myself but my voice is all cracked now, so I am having trouble holding notes. I can only hit about two notes in any key, and I'm only reaching about three octaves. I loved singing and now I may not ever get it back (sorry Im dwelling on it, I don't mean to bitch). But the one thing that really bothers me is that since the throat thing, my fingers keep getting lost on my guitar too. I can't find new songs, I cant find songs I know by heart, Hell I cant find songs I WROTE. I think its just psychological weight, but it's bugging me. Im going to my mentors place on the 21st to see if he can help (a 10 hour drive to figure out how to play "over the rainbow"). Also Im taking quite a few of my guitar, to have him sell them (not because of the problem, just because I need the money). I've listed them all before, but I'll probably list them again for anyone that cares. If anyone has any kind of skill with a guitar or descent web skills, I would like a little help finding the music/lyrics for "In Your Eyes" (you know, the boombox scene from "Say Anything")
Ok the list again is: (all lefty or converted to lefty) Black Fender strat, Sunburst Fender Tele, Black and red "Black Widow" Ibanez PL1770 (one of a kind custom), Gibson Les Paul voodoo, Red Gibson 335, Gibson natural J185 Ec cutaway, 1965 Gibson custom hummingbird, 1970Fender S4 acoustic, Fender DG10 electric, The last American made Harmony acoustic, Taylor big baby acoustic, Black Aria Pro2 Bass, Red Fender Jazz bass, and a Grey custom guitar I built for my Cousin guitar co. and most rescently a Sunburst Gibson Firebird V.
Other than that Im still planning my trip to LA. don't have any of the details, but thats kinda how I do things, last minute. If any of you give a crap, tell me and I'll try to give you details.
