I just got back from my grandfather's birthday and he's old. I mean really old.

To put this into perspective he and a guy who used to work on the tugboat with him were talking and said, 'Remember the time we had to chase that damn japanese kid off the logjam before he got his fool self killed, what was his name?' oh yah THIS GUY

That and stories of mischief they got up to on the burrard bridge construction site.

Anyways it was interesting to talk to some of his friends from when he was younger now that I'm a bit more able to appreciate it. I may have to swing by his old place this week, apparently he grew up just a few miles from here.
