Today was a good day. Anniversary of my moms death it may have been, I think I cried that out of my system last night after midnight. Got up early today with my daughter, always nice to see her smiling face first thing in the morning. Then we went to the local St Pattys day parade, she wasn't that into it, but that young, I guess thats to be expected. The wind was horrible, just killer, so cold, not bad temp wise, but in that wind, holy hell, I felt like an idiot taking my kiddo out to sit in it, but oh well, we survived.
Went out for some delicious pizza with our friends after, then we came home, I put her down for a nap as Kirin is bugging out hungry wanting us to meet her for some mexican. Samantha was not at all about napping, hollering for me from her crib after twenty minutes, so we left to get some grub with ms Kirin. food was good, company was excellent, and the laughter from Samantha's antics was awesome. Went then to Kirins house, and I did my good deed of the week. She had some crazy branches come down in our ice storm, and I cut them up and piled them for her pick up on monday, I hope they take them all, I wasn't really sure what rules they are following, but they are cut up and piled, they should shred easy enough, Hope so anyways. Kirin was awesome enough to entertain Samantha while I worked, and thats pretty amazing seeing as how shes one of those girls, Kirin is, that doesn't want kids, she likes em ok, and yea My kiddo is remarkably easy to handle, but still I appreciated it. Timing just wasn't on our side, and I'm one of those people who enjoys helping others. That she's an SG and a really cool person helps of course. I enjoy making new friends, even if they are pretty determined to move across the country soon.
Now we are home, My kid never napped and stayed up past her bedtime. crazy little girl, and tonight the clocks jump forward. joy, sleep deprived sunday ahead.
So far this weekend has been not what I expected, and it has been good. I hope this can continue as I'm awfully tired of always feeling crappy. Still lonely most of the time, but its healing, time helps, friends help, still missing a key component, and will be for awhile, but I know where I'm at on that now, better than ever before, thanks to a new pair of ears, and a fresh perspective.
