Awww,
your mother has good advice. That girl should be chasing you, whoever she is.
One ofmy favorite pieces of advice from my mother is one time when she was trying to convince me not to wear my bra cuz the straps were showing. I told her then my nipples would be showing, and she said "everybody loves nipples"
