I'm just going to start off by apologizing for subjecting you to my whiskey induced incoherent ramblings but i have some things that i need address about todays rapture and since this site happened to be opened at the moment i figure i will use this blog to vent my frustrations. Okay, first off in Matthew 24:36 Jesus is quoted by saying "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only". So that Jesus quote alone negates all the false apocalypse predictions and this is by far not the first one. Now i want to set the record straight and say that i am not a religious person at all. I do completely understand why someone would want religion in their life, but i just don't feel the need for it at this point in my life. Maybe i'm just young and simple minded but i digress. The reason that i am bothered by that quote is because of Harold Camping. He is the guy who predicted that the world would end today. Him and whatever company he is affiliated with had an 100 million dollar budget to advertise the "rapture" that was supposed to happen today. You would think that Harold would of read the bible since he pretty much has one in hands at all time. It really bothers me that some one who is such of a believer in god would ignore this Jesus quote and try and spread such a ridiculous prediction. Why not use that money to help repair the image of organize religion. Do they really not know how foolish they are making organized religion look? Harold Camping must feel like a kid whose parents forgot to pick him up from baseball practice. I can go on and on about this but i know as soon as i sober up i will end up regretting posting this so i am going to go play Super Metroid and listen to Chopin to help me forget about all this nonsense.
