Oh my god...a very grim day for me right now. My head hero and role model, the good Dr. Hunter S. Thompson died yesterday. Shot himself in the head.
But he did live to be 67 and was a fine example for all of us rebels and outlaws. I am beside myself right now. Well at least we still have George Carlin. He's second in command as far as my heroes go.
I also got the 11 DVD boxed set of a British documentary that came out in 1973 on WWII called The World At War. Very detailed, very cool stuff. Out current political system is scaring me even more after seeing and learning more about what the Nazis did that they didn't even talk about when I was in school.
Very creepy.
Other than that, please let's all remember Hunter S. Thompson.
Watch Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas or Where the Buffalo Roam. Read The Proud Highway and never forget him. As Anton Szandor LaVey said in The Satanic Bible, "your spirit, your immortal spirit shall live. Not in an intangible paradise, but in the brains and sinews of those who's respect you have gained."
