I also sent a CD of some of my artwork to my greatest (still living) hero...the badass Baltimore artist and filmmaker, John Waters.
Well showing him the work was more of a gift to him than anything else. I am a big John Waters fan so I considered this a "thank you" for how this man's movies and art has enriched my life.
Other than that, a friend of mine picked me up and we went out Saturday to Up In Smoke and bought some VERY nice cigars...including a 40 year old Cuban! Shit, yeah! They had 'em in a box and these cigars were approved for manufacturing by some judge back in '64 or '65 so they're legal. Weird, yet bitchin'. I've already smoked all the others, but I think I'll hang on to that Cuban until a really special occasion comes.
