OUTSIDE LANDS!
Ugg nasty... SO SWEATY! After the bike ride home, in the sweltering heat, from the festival.
First, I have the COOLEST roommate in the world to give me a free ticket to Friday's (today) Outside Lands Festival. I owe her big time (though she says she owes me for keeping her company), the concerts were GREAT!
Here is a little picture blog of my day!
Park was empty when we got there early but it was nice to lay out and enjoy some sunshine before the good shows started. We did miss Autolux and West Indian Girl (but later caught their concert while relaxing in the VISA Signature Lounge).
Then we caught Built To Spill on the main stage. They were pretty good!
But my ABSOLUTE favorites from the day had to be The Dodos and...
The Silversun Pickups (both severely AMAZING).
After those two bands we made a quick stop into the VISA Signature Private Lounge where we were able to chill a bit on some plush couches, grab free earplugs, get drinks, watch a few concerts we missed (Q-Tip and West Indian Girl) and use the nice CLEAN bathrooms.
After that we caught Incubus and then I headed home for the evening while listening to a little bit of Kinky on the way out.
Such a good time!
So in closing I'll give you a little video from one of the artists I enjoyed at the show (well, and a few other songs I have been listening to this week). ENJOY:
