A CHALLENGE. A PASSION. A PROJECT.

So friends and fellow SG readers, after a week of pondering an idea and all that it entails I have decided to take on a new project, one in a realm I haven't really worked much in before; one that will expand my skills and open opportunities to do future work in an area where I have been contemplating jumping into for some time now. Most of you will really have no clue what the difference is from what I normally do but let me just say now it is an expansive change and will test my true skills as an artist and designer. But it's going to be an AWESOME design piece.

I will be designing my very first fullsize print poster, a vectorized version of an SG here; yes a piece of fan art in a way. If you have been paying attention to the styles of work I have been "dishing" on lately you will have a little sneak glimpse at what it will be stylistically. All I will say is that I am extremely excited to finally put myself back into a place of challenge beyond that of the normal Photoshop jobs I do.

- Yes, I already have the image/model/SG and concept I will be using in mind. But it will be kept a secret, even from them until it's finished wink.

- There will possibly only be two prints of it done. A VERY limited release (one for me and a signed one for the model). Maybe after time, and further projects a reprint of my first design will be done, but we will see how it goes and how many people complain that they can't get one.

- You will all be able to see it in digital format when I am finished and I may even make other media from it as well (desktops wallpapers, iphone pics, etc).

- It shouldn't take me too long, and I would LOVE you guys to keep at me about it and feel free to ask how far along I am with it. Maybe I'll shoot out a few production shots here and there as I go along. This will help me stick to the game plan and make sure I finish the project in a timely manner (us Graphic Designers are known for our procrastination biggrin).

So basically I am just putting this down in stone here... to keep me on it and make it happen. Like I said, I am really excited to finally take the step into a full print production and ITS ABOUT DAMN TIME. I've been holding off on projects like this continually telling myself "you'll do it when you are better then you are right now" or "You're too busy with school". Well its time, no more pushing it off, no more telling myself I'm not ready.

Pedal to the floor, crank up the beats, nothing but open road ahead of me. It's time to FUCK. THIS. SHIT. UP! wink

OK OK... enough with the cheesy stuff lol. More fun stuff to come soon.

But for now enjoy another song I've been listening to while working on the OTHER projects I am doing:

The Toxic Avenger - Poker Face (Lies In Disguise Remix)

Oh, and yes I am jumping back into San Francisco this next week to get back at apartment/roommate shopping. Wish me luck finding the right people and place! And for those of you in the city, feel free to holler at me and we can go grab dinner or lunch, etc. I already know I have to meet back up with a few of you again. See you all soon,

JP wink

Oh that's not too hard! I'm actually making one of those right now, but I ran out of yarn, so I had to stop frown
Should be easy enough, do you have a measuring tape? Otherwise, my roomie's a guy, I could use his neck for a reference smile

Also, does it matter what sort of yarn? I can do it something like an acrylic so it isn't itchy or if you're allergic.
