K.... Tis finally update time and there's lots to cover.

First, half the course is over with. We of course started with weapons, which was cake.


Had to take great care to not photograph faces, especially of the instructors. The nature of the business is just that way... One of them thought I had and gave me a visible scowl and shake of the head. Then I reassured him that even if I got him, I planned to edit the photos sufficiently.

After weapons came Embassy Security Force (ESF) training which consisted mostly of classroom time.

However, then came a 'lil bit of off time! Being that it was payday getting $1800 for 8 days of "work", we went to San Antonio last weekend to cut loose and one of the guys came up with the brilliant idea to have the lot of us play a bachelor party on a scavenger hunt with a list of things/tasks the "bride to be" came up with. Some items on the list: Black thong, body shot, out of state ID, picture of girls holding the groom, a condom, shot with a bartender, and more...

It turned out to be glorious!!! Though sadly, the photographic evidence was deleted before being properly transferred to all of us involved. I'm still working to get what pics have survived.

Once we got back to it, more class time concluded with a written test and practical application of all ESF training. Again... cake!

Today was another day off and I went to San Antonio again, though this time solo. Still had a blast and did a bit more of the tourist thing on the Riverwalk...
