So, life sucks... But in the best possible way! Confused? Me too...
Here's what I mean... My unit is on leave, but I decided to stay back and save my leave days until just before getting out of the military. In essence, getting out in Nov rather than Jan. Great idea huh?! I thought so too! Anyway, since I'm not taking leave, I'm technically still at work. But there's no work to do and no one to answer to, so all I do everyday is show my face in the morning to prove I'm still hanging around and BAM! done for the day! This is without a doubt one of the best best months in my Marine Corps career. Excluding the times when I HAVE taken leave, of course. The down side is that I've been getting bored easily. Oh well...
On another note, I have just recently confirmed the booking for both my flight and hotel for this years New Year's Eve destination! For those that don't know, I spend New Year's in a new country every year. This will make the 6th year in a row spent outside the U.S.! This year will take me to the British Virgin Islands and I'm stoked! I'm going solo as of now, but that's cool with me. I went to New Zealand by my lonesome. Granted, I had friends living there...
