Been a busy month or so, really looking forward to the new year though, and hoping that good things are going to happen, I'm working hard to make them anyway!
Christmas was great, it was my first non family one, so a bit weird, but had such a great - and very drunken - time round Clare's, and was spoilt rotten as well.
A few days after that I went to Sweden to visit my sister and her family. Had a pretty quiet new years, played Guitar Hero and watched the fireworks with my nephew. It was so beautiful, but absolutely freezing, didn't want to go outside at all! Was hoping i'd get snowed in and not have to go back to work, but no such luck.
We also attempted another birthday cake, this tie for Ethans first birthday. Normally they're complete disasters, but this one was actually a success!
All in all, was a good holiday season. I was so homesick, more so than usual I think, as I was there last year, and also my brother was home for the holidays, but I got through it. If all goes to plan, I'll be going back for my birthday in April, which will be awesome. Will be so good to see everyone again, my family, and especially Mr Flee.
I finished another course, and should be starting my two last ones the beginning of February. If all goes well, come October I will have my degree! It's taken long enough, can't wait to be finished with studying.
Will also be submitting my first set soon. Have shot a few and they're looking good, just need to get them perfect and then will be sending one in.
Other than that, just have a few gigs coming up, going to see stoner legends Fu Manchu on the 28th, and have also booked to see Pearl Jam in Hyde Park in June. It's for hard rock calling, so will be a whole day event. Not sure who else is playing, but not really that bothered, just excited to see Pearl Jam again!! Of course if newly reformed Soundgarden played, that would make it even better
Missed out on tickets to see Hole, they sold out in minutes, but we may still go on the night and see if we can get any outside. I hate buying from touts, but it is Hole, so i'm willing to sink to their level just once.
Okay, enough rambling from me, off to bed.
