For this blog there is a bit of a wall of text at the start so bear with me, its good news 
Well what a busy week uni wise its been, the team project for our main module, Games Design and Development is shaping up pretty well - our lecturer is aiming for it to be the showcase project to show some guys he has coming from the Sony dev house here in Cambridge (this is only 5 weeks away talk about piling on the pressure!). We got the movement and camera system for the beach ball (dont ask) working today after much stressing about how we could do it in the game engine we are using. There was a breakthrough where it started to work but had an extra side effect of having the camera rotate around the ball while it was moving - funny as hell but useless and disorientating. After an hour of head scratching, me and the other programmer in the team figured out how to fix one of the camera axis to stop it rotating - this was a massive milestone for the game developement so we are really happy about it.
No i just have to program the Phidget into the mix - no easy task and if your really wondering what a phidget is heres the site: Phidgets - we are using an accelerometer and maybe a touch sensitive sensor.
Other news - for the saturday i had off i was at a bit of a loss as to what to do, felt like i should have been at work (thats what happens when your alarm goes off at 5:15am because you forgot to turn it off
)
I managed to paint one of the minatures:
He is painted in the colours of my own space marine chapter - The Pandion Knights (you win a prize if you can guess where they are from). Im not great at painting but its fun and its one of my main ways to relax and get back to myself after spending too much time with other people - im very very introverted.
Watched a few indie films aswell this week, two i got from my HMV and one is online becasue the damn film hasnt had a UK release yet
Thats been my week really, miss my friends alot as they have moved further south recently and im now about an hour train ride to see any of my old friends.
