Lost Highway was a practice run for Mulholland Dr...luckily he perfected his ideas and correct his mistakes in the latter, By mistakes, I mean stupid hipster characters, horrible actors, and ridiculous cameos by talentless heavy metal singers...The only redeeming things about the movie are Gary Busey and the songs Barry Adamson wrote for the soundtrack...I think a lot of the mistakes were concessions to appeal to a larger audience...I mean Marilyn Manson?? Lynch is friends with Don Van Vliet (see "my hero" in my pics section), and has amazing taste in music, yet he puts that piece of shit in his movie...aaarrrgggghhh
