You can probably obtain a copy of Center of the World at Virgin or probably Borders. My copy is on VHS, unfortunately, but hopefully that will change eventually.

Blue Velvet... To be honest, it could be my least favorite Lynch film. I think it's unusually sadistic with little rhyme or reason to it. However, the scene you speak of is my favorite part of the film. If you are looking for a scholarly approach to Lynch, there is a BEAUTFUL book at the Chicago Public Library (I'm racking my brain trying to think of the title...) that will completely blow your mind and alter your perception of Lynch. To be honest, I don't agree with a lot of it, but it's fascinating to consider nonetheless. Anyway, that's my two cents.

This happens to me ALL the time. I'll see a film that is so beautiful in its simplicity that I am awed by how much I can love it so. It's like hearing a story that afterwords seems so obvious that you feel stupid for never thinking about it before-hand.

We're all confrontational now. Today I flicked a lit cigarette into the open window a car that almost hit me while I was crossing the street.

I was walking to the residence center from 1104 S Wabash today...and on Polk and State, I thought I saw a girl who looked something like your profile pic with a guy who had matching piercings. I was tempting to say "hi" to see if it was you, but it seemed that would kind of an awkward moment there...especially if I was wrong.

20 minutes later after checking my sites and awkward flirting with a cute freshman photography major (damn you shyness with geekiness throwing in for that), I started talking to PhantomVI who said you were in there just recently with your boyfriend with matching piercings and I made the conclusion that it twas you.

I had spent time with Mr. Lynch's daughter. Last week when I arrived home from work, my neighbor told me she had called. I was to go to her parent's home for dinner. It was rather embarrassing, as I had no urge to face her parents after what we had done. The night was a blur. I was served a small bird on a plate that laughed at me. Upon inspecting it with the fork, it was certainly not done, as it's blood permeated my plate. My Lynch stared at me and asked me "What do I know?" I couldn't shake his bizarre gaze. I was then informed that my "relations" had resulted in a child, though Mary was uncertain of this. When her mother kissed me, the lights in the house went out, and all that could be sensed was the faint smell of a cigarette from the kitchen where old Mrs. Lynch, with one foot in the grave, sat apart from the rest of the family. They must have been ashamed...

The free zoo is small, but nice cause the animals are active more than the pay zoo.

Don't sweat it, ask for help any time you need it. I'll bend over backwards for switchers. I'm actually giving my old G4 away to my friend's children once the G5 arrives. I figure starting them young would be the best thing for them. Plus, I'm really curious to see what a 3rd grader would do with Photoshop.
