I updated my profile, not because I've changed, but because I'm always trying to focus on who I really am. I feel like I lose myself sometimes, and it's healthy to gaze inwards now and then and find myself again.
I've got a couple of months left on SG before my membership expires. I've enjoyed being here, and getting a glimpse into the lives of others. But I'm not sure I'll renew my membership. I think I joined because I was lonely, and thought that people on this site were exciting and interesting, and it would be great to get to know them. And I found that people here are exciting and interesting. And I have enjoyed getting to know a few of them. But loneliness is hard to cure over a wifi connection. So I think I might let this profile fade away, and focus on being happier and more contented where I am right now. It's not the greatest place, but I owe it to myself to try and enjoy my time here. I'm not certain I'll go inactive, though. Just leaning that way at present.
I think this is a really neat community. There are somethings about it I don't like. But I think most of the people on SG are individuals, which isn't always the case where I live. I'm not as outgoing or free spirited as most, especially on here, but I've enjoyed getting a closer look at those who are.
I hope everyone has had, and is having a happy holiday season (wow, look at that alliteration!). Whether you celebrate at this time of year or not, I hope your December has been great. We'll see ya again in 2011!
