I've never thought of myself as having an addictive personality, but I think I've discovered what gives me that fix: bargain racks at bookstores. I bought half a dozen books today, even though I've got about 3 dozen volumes waiting to be read on my bookshelves. At least if the world ends and I'm the only survivor I'll have something to keep me occupied.
