I'm also addicted to books. Portland has this pretty epic bookstore that's four stories tall and takes up an entire city block. All of their used books are intermingled with their regular priced books (which are still usually cheaper than the price printed by the publishing companies), so you could lost here for days. reading is sexy.

Alcohol: Whiskey kills all. A few hot toddies, and my throat felt infinitely better. Beer? Not so much.
Oranges: Saved my life!
Anything with cheese: made the phlegm in my throat super thick and gnarly.
Hot sauce on EVERYTHING: cleared up my sinuses. Yay!
Dayquil/nyquil: Didn't take these (I'm not huge on medication)... BUT, when I have caved, I've noticed that the nasty tasting syrups work a billion times better than the capsules. Just saying....

I must admit, I've never actually drank anything while in the shower....but it does sound interesting. I have to ask, though...is it a cold beer, in a hot shower? or a cold beer in a cold shower?

I prefer a cold beer in a very hot shower. The trick is to get the shower nice and hot before you hop in, grab a brew out of the fridge and immediately make a beeline for the shower. That way the beer stays cold for as long as possible! Popsicles are another great treat to enjoy while showering, but only if they're strawberry.
