I would like to apologize on behalf of all married men because we can be (and often are) total jerks. We take our wives for granted and assume we don't have to keep working at the relationship because we've already got you. That's obviously wrong. Marriage takes a LOT of work. It's a cliche but the biggest key is communication. Hopefully you can both sit down in a loving way (when neither of you are drunk) and share your feelings. I have found that most of the time people let their frustrations build to the point where they are furious before they say anything and then it's just a big fight and the other person tries to defend themself instead of listening to the point.
Remember that you both made a lifetime commitment to each other because you love each other. Express your feelings and needs in a caring manner. Tell him what you need. You can probably tell him the same thing you told him last night but in a different tone and he may take it much better. I hope it works. Love requires a lot of maintenance. Otherwise it dies.
