Well I have a boring fucking life... It's a good one, but geezzzzzzzuzzzzzz It could be a little more interesting...
Okay, so X-mas is going to be here before I know it, and I'm shit poor again this year... Between the car and my roomy short changing me on some rent money (she will eventually get it back to me) I have hardly enough cash to feet the cats... (BUT they are being fed and Claudia's prescription diet isn't the cheapest stuff either, plus stuffed catnip mice and crinkly balls always seem to end up in the cart...hmmmmmm feline mind control)
Soooooooooo... What to do about the niece and nephews... Well, for the lovely Rosie there will be a big huge basket of craft supplies... She'll love it, and between Michael's and the Dollar store there will be enough junk in the basket to keep her busy until next year. She knit a scarf last summer... She got bored camping... For Jo, I'm thinking some sort of PS2 game... Prob. a racing game he can play with his friends. And for young master Liam...... Something Mega Bloks or an inexpensive RC Truck he can chase the dog with... So... Under $100... Cool... Last year I spent that on each of them! My Sister = Bailey's. Mom and Step Dad get pissed if I get 'em anything. Roomy can wait... We need food in the house before gifts. But the Girlfriend... hmmmmmmmmmmmmm she came in the other day, and said that we shouldn't do gifts because she is a student and has no money, and I'm shit poor at the moment as well. Never the less, I have to get her something... A few month ago we got some new necklaces in and one of them had a dragon carving on it that matches her first tattoo and she made a point of showing it to me, so I went and found it and set it aside for pay day. BUT I want to get her something else... Not too expensive, but something that says I am thinking about her... She has mentioned over the last 8 months dozens of cool little gift ideas (not hinting just saying Oh! I would love to have one of those one day)... She would love a little window herb garden... Can you find those in the middle of winter? Oh Fuck! I know... the cats ate one of her X-Box cables a week after she bought a new game (that she had been looking for forever). I'll get her the cable! Then its the gift of X-box, as well as being a thoughtful gift... Yes? No? maybe I'll just tie a bow to my....... and show up at her door singing carols? (That's not really a gift if you've ever seen me naked or heard me sing - but the gift of laughter is a good one too - tiny tiny ribbon

My Aunt, Dad, and step mom would be next... And the lady friend's family too... hmmmmmmmmm... I have no idea... My aunt is difficult... I think I went through this last year, and got some good suggestions... My Dad... Jazz CD of some sort. My Step Mom... I will need to get inventive, and find something she'll get a kick out of. It'll come to me... But again... low on $$$$ = small gifts. So... as it should be... I will have to put a lot of thought into my gifts this year, and get things that the people will really enjoy. Arg! too much to think about....
On a completely different note... I have finished almost 2 CDs worth of my course and 4 chapters in the text. I took a practice exam based on the entire courses content and got 73.3%. This portion of the program is fairly easy because its stuff I deal with every day, but I am learning new things i.e. there is a capacitor inside a PC power supply that stores enough of a charge to kill you, so don't try to fix 'em... just replace 'em. Good to know! Anyway, I have given myself 6-7 weeks to complete this section, and I'm mostly on track... Then I can write my first exam, and start the next part... Yay!
