I am grumpy... Do to a complete clusterfuck (thanks for the good word Stumbleine) on the part of my boss and the manager of one of our other stores I am left without a Blackberry. Long story short... I told the company I do tech support for on the side I'd return the one they gave me by X-mas 'cause my day job told me they would be providing me and a bunch of other people with one so they can get in touch with us easier. I'm sending that one back this week. Now my Boss (who does really strange things from time to time) told the guy ordering them not to order me one. I'm the guy that introduced the technology (that they use to get in touch with me about 500 times a day), and I've carried one for 6yrs! NOW I HAVE NO PHONE, NO EMAIL, AND NO ORGANIZER! WTF? So 4 people get the new units, I give mine back to my other job, and I get fucked over... I just don't get it... Of course I'm hearing from the peanut gallery now (the guys who's accounts I setup for them cause they didn't really get it) about how I shouldn't have returned the one I had... But the thing about it is... I don't like the idea of making a small business pay $70/month for device that a multi-million dollar organization uses on a daily basis... You know? It's shitty...

So as it stands, I'm fucked for email, and a phone over the holidays while I'm out of town... It sounds petty, but trust me I haven't been more than 6' away from a computer or my Blackberry in 6yrs, and up in Durham where I will be visiting family, my Blackberry is the only connection I have to my life... And now I have to start wearing a watch again 'cause I don't have the time on the screen to use... I'm grumpy!

It wouldn't be so bad but it was kindaout of the blue, she didn't have the decency to tell me to my face (I heard it form the order guy - who laughed about it), and the unit in question only costs the business $100 and not the $599 it costs everyone else! So... IF you devide the $99 by the 5 units (4 freebies) its $20! Shit... If I have to I'll pay it!

Oh... and let me add to that... She has asked me to come over on Friday after work to setup her new printer and get her wireless network working for her kids for X-mas... NICE... Fuck me over and then ask me for a favour...

This does sound really petty, and really its not the device that is bothering me. Its the fact that once again promises were made and delivered to some, but... yours truely gets fucked over. Ugh!

I HATE BEING GRUMPY!!! I'm going to go play with my kittens...
