Hahahaha... This is another fun T-Shirt that just about sums up how I'm feeling today...
It made me laugh...
To all those of you partaking in the un-holy right of exams... my heart aches for you... Having been to just about every college in Southern Ontario at some point...
Humber (1992-93) - Early Childhood Education
---- insert Chef's apprenticeship here ----
George Brown (1996) - General Arts and Science
Connestoga (1996-97) - Micro Computer Software Applications
Fanshawe (1998-99) - Software Engineering (I think they are calling it Computer Programmer Analyst now)...
Finals suck ass... but it does pay off in the end... and the end is closer than you think... Unless you're a dumbass like me and keep going back 'cause you have some strange need to rack up more OSAP debt... Hahaha... but Film School in the fall will be free (or a year from now)! I have found a way to screw the system... become part of it... Fight it from within... Bahahahahaha...
Oops! Tangent...
Anyway... It's 11ish pm and I'm bored out of my mind... I should be writing or working or something, but I am not... I am sitting in front of the TV watching the Daily show... It's a repeat... My kittens have abandoned me for my roommate who was away all weekend...
OH SHIT! I saw the last hour and a half of Passion of the Christ last night... I honestly never thought I'd watch it, but it kinda sucked me in, and I may watch it from start to finish (someday)... I have no interest in the subject matter other than a kind of universal interest in all religions as a concept. And I wonder if the irony of what was depicted being done to Jesus in this movie and what has been done to so many others over the centuries in his name was lost on most... i.e. Crusades, Spanish Inquisition... etc... My only criticism of what I saw of the movie, was that Mel laid it on a little too thick when Jesus was carrying the cross. I felt that the impact of him falling to the ground delirious was lost on the forth or fifth time he fell... Other than that, very powerful... It was really hard to watch the brutality... AND if you choose to follow the Christian path, he certainly appeared to be suffering for your sins... I give the hour and a bit that I saw 4 Stars ****. Now keep in mind I have no religious bias as I am neither Christian or Jewish, so the political and religious angst caused by the movie when it first came out doesn't really affect me... Soooo my thoughts are strictly from an artistic point of view... Very beautifully shot, and I thought it was a nice call to have it in Aramaic...
Anyway, that was a bit of a rant... I should go now... before I start in about politics... FUCK! Don't even get me started... ANOTHER FUCKING ELECTION!!!! YOU GOTTA BE SHITTIN' ME! (but we did make the daily show... hehehehe)
