Full disclosure: I haven't taken many new pictures lately (I broke the lens on my husband's Nikon); but I am posting the most recent and hope to have some new ones soon. Given our environment (beach, jungle, islands, lagoon, ocean, boats) and the fact that I cannot offer any post-industrial, urban (do plywood-and-corrugated sheet metal shanties stacked end-to-end count as "urban"?) or other sophisticated backdrops and settings, what do you all suggest? I guess the girl-on-the-beach thing has not only been done to death everywhere, but is especially counter to the format of SG....

Tropical it is! We'll start thinking about something unique. There are tons of unfinished concrete block houses that have the jungle rapidly re-taking its place, as well as beaches with bits and globs of rusted metal scrap everywhere....hmmm....did you know Marshall Islands is the location of Bikini Atoll, and thus not only the namesake of the eponymous swimwear, but also the birthplace of Godzilla, according to the original 1954 Japanese feature?
