The funeral Saturday was Catholic and bizzare. I had to keep reminding myself it wasn't for Jacy or her friends, but her family who identified with the ritual. The gang reunited later for drinks and stories and eventually migrated (with the addition of a few fifths) to my place. It was a raucus evening of chills and spills as we numbed our grief and celebrated life and the ability of the brain to give forth memories of time long past. It was a good evening but I felt really wierd the next day. It was strange drinking with all these people and not having to call and lie to our folks regarding our wherabouts, or having to shouldertap for alcohol. Being a grownup and hanging out with your high school buddies is so strange. Oh well. It reminded me why I stopped parting actually and I resumed my hermitude after meticulously mopping the floor. smile

That sounds awesome. biggrin It reminds me some of my brother's funeral. The service itself could scarcely have been less about him, but the reception and dinner afterwards was amazing. Seeing all these people who loved him in the same room, having a great time because he'd brought us all together. Amazing.

We'll hopefully be leaving a little before 5, so maybe we'll get there not too long after you get done. Yay! love

Oh sweet yum chen,

So very saddened to hear of the loss of a friend in your life. But glad to hear that you celebrated her memory in the company of friends and family. *hugs of kindness and sympathy*

I had such a lovely time by the sea. Sigh . . . I want to live there indefinitely. *crosses fingers and chants "come on lottery ticket". teehee!)

Hasn't the spring warmth been glorious!?! I'm prunning all aspects of my life and finding the most amazing new growth. Yay!

*Huggles and snuggles to you*
